چکیده
A seven-year-old male cat that was previously diagnosed with – and treated for left hydronephrosis due to suspected idiopathic proteinaceous materials in the renal pelvis, presented a short history of anorexia vomiting. The abdominal ultrasound revealed bilateral hydronephrosis, intravenous pyelography showed moderate amount free fluid retroperitoneal space at 48 hours. After nephrectomy, gross examination right kidney very thin capsule urine leakage, pelvis small, black deposits. histopathology compression atrophy, necrosis cortex/medulla, lymphoplasmacytic inflammation. crystallographic analysis deposits were composed 100% protein no minerals. spontaneous rupture caused by pelvic materials, secondary In addition revealing possibility immune-mediated disease can induce cats, this case report demonstrates utility imaging diagnosing monitoring detecting planning surgery.

Spontaneous Renal Pelvis Rupture Caused by Ureteral Lithiasis
Rupture of the urinary collecting system associated with peripelvic extravasation of the urine is a rare condition and commonly associated with obstructing calculus, trauma or previous urinary tract surgery [3,4]. Collecting system rupture is an extremely rare outcome of the increased pressure in the pelvis during renal colic. The diagnosis can be suspected on serial ultrasonography, and confir...
متن کاملBilateral Wünderlich Syndrome Caused by Spontaneous Rupture of Renal Angiomyolipomas
Wünderlich syndrome (WS) is a urological emergency characterized by retroperitoneal hemorrhage. In most cases, bleeding occurs from a renal angiomyolipoma (AML) and may be the first manifestation of the disease. We report a female patient with bilateral WS due to the metachronous rupture of renal AMLs. Because the patient was stable and the tumor was not malignant, treatment was conservative. F...

A patient with history of a solitary functioning kidney and protein C deficiency (PCD) presented with recurrent severe hydronephrosis causing acute kidney injury upon chronic kidney disease. Work-up with endoscopic evaluation revealed renal papillary necrosis (RPN) and sloughed renal papillae to be the true cause of the recurrent obstruction. Pathologic evaluation of the sloughed tissue confirm...
